Thrift finds

RetroThrifter

Notes from the wild. What stops me. What lasts.

The good stuff is out there—you just have to know where to look.

About

I'm someone who believes the best finds aren't new—they're rediscovered. I spend my weekends volunteering at local thrift shops, sorting through donations, organizing shelves, and occasionally stumbling upon something extraordinary.

This site is a collection of those moments: the vintage coat that still has its original buttons, the vinyl that plays like butter, the ceramic mug with the perfect weight. It's about noticing what endures.

(And yes, sometimes I find absolute junk. That's part of the fun.)

What to Expect

Honest finds. Little observations. A bit of humor. No affiliate links, no sponsored posts—just what I actually picked up and why it caught my eye.

I'll share stories from the volunteer shifts, tips on what to look for, and the occasional rant about fast fashion. Think of it as a quiet corner of the internet where secondhand is first-rate.

For those curious about where I volunteer, it is in Sea Cliff, NY at St. Boniface Church Outreach. Come visit! (A great spot if you're ever in the area.)
